Donald Ray Cox, 59, of Indianapolis passed away April 20, 2013. He was born in Richmond, KY on October 2, 1953 to Chester Cox and Shannon Rae Hobbs Cox Kincaid. Donald worked faithfully in the steel industry for 30 years. He was a lifelong sports fan who bled blue as a University of Kentucky fan. He was preceded in death by his father, Chester Cox; son, Derek Cox; brother-in-law, Sam Stidham and niece, Mary Shannon Combs. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Rosemary Hancock Cox; mother, Shannon Rae Hobbs Cox Kincaid; son, Kyle Quinton Cox of Indianapolis, IN; sisters, JoAnn (Bruce) Cox Combs and Esther Sue (Andy) Cox Stidham Hamilton both of Lexington, KY; 8 nieces and nephews and 14 great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 25 from 4 pm - 7 pm with a memorial service at 7 pm in Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th St., Indpls. Interment will be held on Friday, April 26 at 11 am in West Ridge Park Cemetery, 9295 W. 21st St., Indianapolis, IN.
