Obituary of Vicki Walker
Vicki Lynn Walker, 58, passed away February 11, 2013 after a 6 year long battle with breast cancer. Her courage and strength was amazing, and she showed grace and dignity. She was born on January 9, 1955 to Pete and Margaret (Morris) Chunchick, who both precede her in death.
Vicki was employed at Steak-N-Shake for 19 years as the Assistant Manager of Research and Development. It was here, along her husband Chris, that she co-founded the Annual Wayne Township Breakfast with Santa which continues on 15 years later spreading Christmas love to underprivileged families. She loved gardening, her dog Sadie Mae, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Carla Mason of Greentown, IN, Nikki Heymann of Beaver, PA and sister-in-law, Julie Chunchick of Detroit, MI.
She is survived by her loving husband of 13 years, Christopher Allen Walker, to whom she married on June 26, 1999 in Goshen, OH; inlaws Fred and Jan Walker of Goshen, Ohio, daughters, Kim Paino (Matt Widmer) of Sheridan, IN, Crissy Vassar of Sheridan, IN, Jamie Vassar (BJ Marks) of Indianapolis, IN and Melissa Pendleton of Indianapolis, IN; son, John Pendleton of Lewes, DE; step-sons, Justin and Michael Walker both of Cincinnati, OH; daughters, Brittany and Kristina Walker both of Cincinnati, OH; sisters, Karen Nichol of Beaver, PA, Toni (Phil) Ellis of Simi Valley, CA and Jackki (John) Klachko of Simi Valley; brothers, Rob Heymann of Los Angelos, CA, Michael (Margaret) Heymann of Los Angelos, Randy Chunchick of Detroit, MI, Rick (Jan) Chunchick of Rochester, PA and Skip (Susan) Chunchick of Los Angeles, CA; grandchildren, Ashley of Indianapolis, IN, Jay of Sheridan, IN, Michael of Indianapolis, IN, Bryce of Indianapolis, IN, Kaylee of Sheridan, IN, Nevaeh of Avon, IN, Kyle of Sheridan, IN, Kyrsten of Indianapolis, IN, Nicholas of Sheridan, IN, Chloe of Sheridan, IN and Colton of Sheridan, IN.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 18 from 9 am - 10:30 am with a funeral service at 10:30 am in Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th St., Indpls. Fr. Mike Welch officiating.
