Obituary of Albert Stancil
Albert Stancil 81, of Indianapolis passed away on July 28, 2011. He was born on May 14, 1930. Albert worked for the Transcon truck line for 30 years, retiring in 1990. He served in the US Army in the Korean War. He was also a member of teamster local # 135. He is preceded in death by his son, Steven Allen Stancil and his grandson, Tyler S. Stancil. Albert is survived by his loving wife, MaryJo Griffin Stancil; sons, Dennis Stancil, Jon (Shannon) Stancil and Andrew (Neelee) Stancil; daughters, Susie (Barry) Thompson, Mary (Gregg) Bryson and Glenda (Jesse) Cook; sisters, Louise Bach and Ann Sweatt; brothers, John Hugh and Bob McCallum; 16 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 2 from 3-7 pm with a 7 pm funeral service at Valley Mills Christian Church, 5555 Kentucky Ave., Indianapolis. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 3 at 11 am at Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to any animal shelter of your choice.
