Obituary of Ralph Klotzbier
Ralph Klotzbier, 92, of Speedway passed away November 4, 2012. He was born on November 27, 1919 to Nicholas and Otillia Klotzbier, both preceding him in death.
Ralph participated in the Civilian Conservation Corp from 1937 - 1938. He served in the Navy Asiatic Fleet from August 3, 1938 - March 1942, China from 1938 - 1941, Philippines until WWII started, Java - January 1942 and the Pacific Fleet in 1942 - 1945. He was a member of the American Legion Post 500 in Speedway. He was a founding member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church. Ralph enjoyed gardening and model trains.
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Beatrice Klotzbier; son, Richard (Deborah) Klotzbier of Winston, Ga.; daughters, Kathleen (Dennis) Tucker of Avon, IN. and Martha (Robert) Freije of Brownsburg, IN; 6 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 7 from 4 pm - 8 pm in Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th St., Indpls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 8 at 2 pm in St. Gabriel the Archangel Church, 6000 W. 34th St., Indpls. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
