Obituary of Frankie White

Frankie Darlene White, 52, passed away on August 1, 2012. Frankie was born a twin on July 6, 1960 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Unfortunately her twin did not make it, his name was Frank White. She has been a fighter all her life beginning at birth, being a preemie and having to stay in the hospital for 9 weeks. She weighed 3 lb 2 oz when she was born. She started having seizures in her teenage years and they seized about 12 years ago. Since the seizures stopped she was able to start driving and bought her first car. This was one of the proudest moments o fher life. She always told everyone that one day she would drive. She was a very independent woman. She lived on her own for 30 years. She was very determined and always wanted to accomplish things on her own, that others thought she needed help. Frankie for the past 12 years has made yearly trips to Las Vegas, sometimes twice a year. She looked forward to her trips and saved her money from one trip to the next. Several family members have gone with her. Frankie has said that her most memorable trips to Vegas was with her sister. They rented cars while they were there and went on road trips to Las Angeles and the Grand Canyon. She attended Speedway Christian Church where she was baptized. Frankie never met a stranger, she never knew hatred. She always had a smile on her face and always put a smile on others faces. When you met Frankie you had a friend for life, this is the effect she had. Frankie was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2004. From the time she was diagnosed she always said she would do whatever it takes to beat this. She surpassed all the doctors expectations with her will and her strength. She fought up to the very end. If you ask anyone to describe Frankie, they will use words like independent, strong willed, stubborn, giving, innocent, precious, caring, generous, and we could go on and on with the most strongest and loving words in the world. Frankie was cherished by so many. She is survived by her parents, Bill and LaVelle Lowery, John White; grandmother, Ruby Casey; brothers, Danny White and Ronnie White; sister, Carrie Eaker; nieces and nephews, Kaitlyn Eaker, David Eaker Kim Collins, Daniel White and Rondal White along with several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 6 from 11 am - 1 pm with a funeral service at 1 pm at Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W 10th St, Indianapolis. Interment will be at West Ridge Park Cemetery. Pastor Fred Rodkey officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. God called an angel home today. Even though we wanted her to stay. Frankie was sweet, generous, stubborn and beautiful. She gave and gave but did not take. She was a fighter. Her and her sister couldn't have been any tighter. She was in our life for so many years, so forgive us while we shed our tears.
