Obituary of Earl Anderson
Earl Raymond Anderson 70, of Indianapolis passed away on July 18, 2011. He was born on December 16, 1940. Earl attended the University of Indianapolis, IUPUI and Belamin School of Theory. He was employed as the director of purchasing at Indianapolis Water Company, retiring in October 1998. Earl was also a member of the United States Marine Corps. He served in Vietnam and was a military judo (black belt). He was a member of the AWWA, American Legion, K of C and St. Michael Catholic Church on West 30th Street. Earl enjoyed gambling, golf, movies, family and friends. Earl was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Anderson; mother-in-law, Aileen Ehrenberg and grandparents, Earl (Pop) and Myrtle Bramlett. He is survived by his loving wife, Vicky Simpson Anderson; sons, Darrell (Carrie) and Brian (Angie) Anderson; daughter, Julie (Robin) Anderson; mother, Della Marie Bayly; father, Larry Bayly; father-in-law, Kenneth (Lee) Ehrenberg; sister, June Casteel; sister-in-law, Linda (Jim) Helton; brother, Art (Sue) Smith; brothers-in-law, Mike and Ken Ehernberg; grandchildren, Jonathan and Anthony Earl; several nieces and nephews and his basset hound Allie. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 25 from 4 to 7:30 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. in Stevens Mortuary & Family Center, 5520 W. 10th St. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, July 26 at 10 a.m. in St. Michael Catholic Church.
