Obituary of Mark Boeding
Mark W. Boeding 82, of Indianapolis, passed away on January 5, 2011 peacefully surrounded by his family after a brief illness. He was born on January 27, 1928. He participated in the United States Army and was in the trucking industry for 46 years retiring in 1993. The following 10 years he spent caring for his loving wife, Dorothy. Mark was a member of the St. Michael Church for over 50 years, K of C Holy Family Council and also a member of the Kiwanas. Mark loved to play golf and participate in church activities. He also loved sports and the Indiana Pacers Basketball team. He is survived by his sons, Mark R. (Sherri) Boeding and Randall W. Boeding; close family friend, Joe Pfennig; daughters, Cynthia B. Christensen and Lisa K. Boeding (Mark A. Fletcher); a brother, John "Jack" Boeding; grandchildren, Ted, Ellie and Gus Christensen, Jennifer Kincaid-Pembleton, Lynsey K. DeLaCruz Miller, Kaitlin A. DeLaCruz and Nicki and Megan Walter; great-grandchildren, Nathan G. Kincaid and Josie J. Pembleton; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy A. Boeding; his parents and 9 of his siblings. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 9 from 4-7 p.m. at Stevens Mortuary and Family Center, 5520 W. 10th St., Indpls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 10 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, 3354 W. 30th St., Indpls. He will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery.
