Obituary of Raymond Sarkine
Raymond "Ray" Sarkine 69, Indianapolis, passed away March 19, 2009 in Budapest, Hungary while on a snow skiing trip with friends. Ray was born Feb. 14, 1940. The former Wayne Township Constable had been retired for a number of years and enjoyed snow skiing, worldwide traveling and ballroom dancing. He was an active member of the Indianapolis Ski Club, Indianapolis Senior Center, Wayne Township Republicans, the Moose, Retired Teamsters and many other organizations. Ray Sarkine is survived by his loving wife, Diana; his daughter, Christina (Danny) Watson; son, Raymond (Tammy) Sarkine; granddaughters, Courtney Stout, Danielle and Duranda Watson, and Rachel Sarkine; brother, Harry (Pat) Sarkine, and sister Mary (George) Collins. Visitation will be held April 15, 2009 at Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th. St. between 5-7p.m. with a short memorial service immediately following. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Indianapolis Senior Center are requested by the family. www.stevensmortuary.net
