Obituary of Carolyn Lackner
Carolyn Louise Bigler Lackner, 82, passed away February 26, 2012. Carolyn was the beloved wife of Robert John Lackner. She was born in Goshen, Indiana on July 30, 1929. Carolyn graduated from Goshen High School in 1947. She attended Henrotin Hospital Nursing School and was a Dental Assistant for Dr. Kermit Bechtel, Goshen, IN.
She was a member of the Indy Decorative Artists, Ladybugs Golf Club, the Red Hat Society and Holy Trinity Altar Society where she co-founded the Potica Ladies. Carolyn was employed as the Food Service Manager for Holy Trinity Day Care Center for over 10 years; she was a National Sales Rep with Craftsmith, Inc. for 10 years and a Sales Rep for JJS Knives for five years.
Carolyn was an avid fisherman and played on several golf leagues. She was a collector of Santas, a painter, a seamtress and enjoyed visits to Casinos. Her most treasured collection was her many friends.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Bob; daughter, Pam (Barry) Brummit of Enid, OK; five sons, Rob (Cindy), Joe (Roy), Larry (Dana), Andy (Monica) and Matt (Natalie). Ten grandchildren; Jason, Jeff, Sarah (Josh) Mason, Jeremy, John, Brooke, Andrea (Mike), Jessica, Mallory, Aaron, and three great grandchildren; Morgan, MacKenzie and Maylee. She is also survived by her brother, Professor Clair Bigler, Jr. (Nancy) of Madison, WI and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Stevens Mortuary and Family Center, 5520 W. 10th St. Indpls., TODAY, Tuesday, February 28 from 3pm-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, February 29 at 11am in Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 901 North Holmes.
