Galen Gill Thomas 84, Advance, IN, was called home by his Father who art in Heaven. He gave him from Sept. 22, 1924 to July 17, 2009. He is survived by his wife of 38 years: Ina K. Atwell Thomas, his sons and one daughter: Richard (Pam) Thomas, Jeff (Paula) Thomas, Tommy (Kelly) Thomas, John Kepler and Marilyn Thomas. He also leaves behind 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife: Wanda J. Thomas and beloved daughter: Gail Lynn Thomas Smoot. He retired from Union Carbide with 40 years. He also worked at Don Sedam's Standard Service Station on 16th Street during Indianapolis 500 race time. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and gardener where he sat in the sun. He will be sadly missed by family and friends.
