Obituary of Lawrence Hawkins
Lawrence Edmund Hawkins, Sr., 64, Brownsburg, IN passed away October 31, 2008. Born February 17, 1944 in Indianapolis to the late Lawrence Kelsey and Mary Julia (Dwyer) Hawkins. Larry served on the USS Kitty Hawk during the Vietnam War 1961-1965. He was a member of VFW Post #98. He worked at Allison Division, GMC for many years. He is survived by son, Eddie (Mary Helen) Hawkins and daughter, Beth Ann Hawkins, (Chris Barksdale) and three grandchildren, Mallory Glasgow, Taylor and Trey Hawkins of Columbus, MS. Also, two brothers, James P., Fort Myers, FL and Wm. H., Bowling Green, KY and three sisters, Janet Zetzl, Brownsburg, Karen Teague, Jackson, MS and Jeanne Van Tyle, Indianapolis, and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Indianapolis, November 4, 2008 at 2pm with calling from 10am with Fr. Glenn O?Connor officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Seeds of Hope c/o St. Joseph Church, Gennesaret Free Clinic, 615 N. Alabama St. Indpls. 46202 or a charity of your choice.
