Obituary of Rick Alan Gardner
Rick Alan Gardner, 61, of Kirklin, IN passed away on December 21, 2024. He was born in Lebanon, IN to Larry K. and Donna M. (Bennett) Gardner on September 7, 1963. Rick worked for New Hope of Indiana for over 25 years, he had a passion for assisting the disabled and direct patient care. He was a die-hard fan of the Indianapolis Colts football team. He loved the rock bands, Kansas, Styx, Bob Seger, Lynyrd Skynyrd and John Mellencamp. He also loved his beloved dog, “Frank the Pug”. Rick was known for his love of Jesus Christ. Rick was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, John M. Gardner. He is survived by his ex-wife of 34 years, Lisa Thorp; son, Andrew Gardner (Julie Loviscek) of Kirklin; daughter, Alissa Gardner of Los Angeles, CA; brother, Larry Gardner (Peggy Gardner) of Westfield; and his beloved grand “dog”, Frank the Pug. The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to them to help offset funeral expenses.
