Obituary of Janet M. Noblitt
Janet M. (Califar) Noblitt born November 16, 1955 passed away unexpectedly on December 12, 2024.
She was preceded in death by her father, Nick Califar Jr., mother, Marie P. Califar, sister, Marilyn J. Califar and nephew, Zachary L. Miller. She is survived by her son, Justin C. Noblitt, niece, Nikki J. Dreflak-Miller and nephew, Alec G.(Kat) Miller.
Janet was retired from IU Hospital as a Patient Financial Service Account Representative, has been a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and was a devoted Christian mother and caregiver. She dearly loved her family and friends and helped everyone she could even if it was just providing a listening ear. Anyone who knew her, loved her and thought the world of her.
Janet had a love for all animals but, especially cats as she’s had many rescues over the years. Her current beloved kitty, Sooner was brought all the way home by her niece, Nikki from Oklahoma 8 years ago where she began spoiling him and wouldn’t add others as it would be unfair to him, she felt. Janet found joy in feeding outdoor critters and spent money buying seed and peanuts for them. Janet also enjoyed the holidays and fully decorated for everyone. She loved to read and watch old movies in her spare time.
There will not be services held as decided by her son, Justin and niece, Nikki at this difficult time. There will be a private burial at West Ridge Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution to Misty Eyes Animal Shelter, mailing address PO Box 1202 Brownsburg, IN 46112 or their physical address 616 S.
