Obituary of Jerry D Carper

Jerry Dewayne Carper, 81, of Indianapolis, IN passed away on November 28, 2024, Jerry was born on July 20, 1943 in Warsaw, IN to Glen D. and Ruby D. (Evans) Carper, both preceding him in death. Jerry worked for General Motors, UAW for over 35 years. Jerry is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Lu (Rose) Carper, children Jeremy Carper and Mary (Keith) Downey; grandchildren Samantha Downey, Chris Downey, and Cameron (Rosanna) Mitchell; great grandchildren Waylon Mitchell and Lindy Mitchell.

In lieu of flowers the family kindly ask that contributions in Jerry’s name be made to Spondylitis Association of America at spondylitis.org.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on December 6, 2024 at Stevens Mortuary 5520 W. 10^th Street Indianapolis, IN  with visitation from 9:00 AM until time of services. Interment will follow in Calumet Park Cemetery in Merriville, IN.
