Obituary of Leland E. Minneman

Leland (Lee) Eugene Minneman, 81, died on July 21, 2024.  He was born on January 14, 1943 in Hartford City, Indiana to the late Ovid and Lela Minneman.  Lee had a lifelong passion for aviation and flying.  He held various positions in the airline industry in planning and maintenance, including many years at ATA Airlines (American Trans Air) and FedEx.  In his free time, he loved tinkering in his garage on cars and airplanes, going to the Hartford City Senior Center, and spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include two sons, Greg (Maria) Minneman, and Mark (Paula) Minneman; one daughter, Amy (Derek) Eaton; 7 grandchildren, Alex Minneman, Mackenzie Minneman, Samantha (Nate) Pickel, Nicole Minneman, Jacob Minneman, Rhylee Eaton, and Brody Eaton; and three great-grandchildren, Brooks Minneman, Harper Hubbard, and Lane Pickel, along with his brother Rex (Kim) Minneman.  He was preceded in death by both parents.

A celebration of life will be planned for a later date to honor his legacy and memory with his family and friends.
