Helen Marie (Hamilton) Lee

(February 19, 1938 - May 13, 2024)

She loved ALL of her family & friends and left this world peacefully at home surrounded by family, pets and so much love.  She was a lady and knew when to leave, on her terms.

Born and raised in Tennessee, she was a Christian Baptist and strong believer in God.  She wasn’t able to receive a formal education but was very proud of everything she learned and always supported learning for everyone.  She married very young and both her and her husband Buil were so proud to elope alongside her best friend, Bettie and his little brother Junior Lee on May 5th, 1953 in Mississippi.

Helen was always very hardworking, caring, and a listening mother to all, she was extremely devoted to her family her entire life.  She loved celebrating with good food & music with ALL of her family & friends.  She enjoyed life & making everyone happy during the hardest of times, never forgot her family roots of unconditional love, understanding, cooking, flowers, nature, and especially her birds.

Helen is survived by four daughters : Patty Lee-Lowe Moore (Bill), Virginia Moore (Jeff), Kimberly Schene (Patrick) and Maria Lee (Ryan); 13+ grandchildren; 22+ great grandchildren; and 2+ great great grandchildren.
