Arnell Lowden

Obituary of Arnell Lowden

Mrs. Arnell Coleman Lowden, was born on Sunday, September 19, 1926 in Rosedale, MS. She was the eldest child of 10, daughter of Wilson Coleman and Ophelia Douglas. She lived in McGehee, AR before moving to Indianapolis, IN in 1960. Arnell was employed at L.S. Ayers for several years until she became unable to work. She gave her life to Christ at an early age and lived for Christ until her last breath. Anyone that knew Arnell knew that she let her light shine bright for Christ. Arnell loved the Lord and was not ashamed to tell the world! She served on the Mother's Board, was a dedicated Missionary and was known in her church as Missionary Lowden or Mother Lowden. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Arnell was a Wonderful Loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend. Arnell was so dedicated to the Lord that her grandkids, nieces and nephews would complain because grandma would make them watch Christian programs when they wanted to watch something else. Now, they sit back and laugh about it. They would give anything to go back and spend that special time with her. Arnell loved to shop, travel, read her bible and attend church. She loved her family dearly. Her favorite things to eat were greens, corn bread, shrimp and ice cream. Mrs. Arnell Coleman Lowden departed this life on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at the age of 89 years, 7 months and 25 days. She lived 32,746 days. She was preceded in death by her parents; her three sons; Troy Lee Lowden, Charles "Ray" Woods and Swan Q. Coleman; grandson; Richard Miller; three sisters and four brothers.
