Ronald H. Carter, 59, of Linden, IN passed away comfortably at home on June 27, 2016 with his family by his side. Ron was born in Indianapolis on May 21, 1957 to Amos and Eva Carter. Ron was an exceptional man, father and husband. He was humble, generous and selfless. He was employed at UPS for 11 years and an Assistant Scout Master for 9 years. He spent his life mentoring and guiding youth. He was smart and humorous. Ron had a deep passion for flying and one of his greatest achievements was when he obtained his pilot's license. He leaves this family and friends with a sole bearing passion for the sunrise and its significance. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in honor and memory of Ron. Ron is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Jerry Carter; son, Mason Carter of Columbus, OH; daughter Rebecca Carter; granddaughter, Briella; brother, Duane (Petra) Carter. A celebration of life for Ron will be scheduled sometime in the fall.
