Helen Marie Black, 77, of Indianapolis passed away on February 20, 2017. She was born on June 15, 1943 in Indianapolis to Daniel J. and Rosetta (Turner) Chubbs, both preceding her in death. She is also preceded in death by one daughter, Kim Ballard. She is survived by her daughter, Kalynn Black; son, DeWayne Ballard, granddaughter, Makala Corbins and brother, Ronnie Chubbs. Helen enjoyed reading, traveling and spending quality time with her loving family. Helen graduated with honors from Crispus Attucks High School in 1957. She worked for the State of Indiana, FSSA for the Blind and Visually Impaired Service Division for over 30 years.
