Patricia "Pat" Simpson, 61, of Indianapolis passed away on May 20, 2017. Pat was born on May 30, 1955 in St. Louis, MO to Robert and Angela Jackson. Pat was a home caregiver, she also worked part-time at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and part-time for the city of Clermont doing landscaping. Pat never met a stranger and loved everyone she came in contact with. Pat loved hanging with her grandchildren and learning dances from the kids and teaching them the facts of life. Pat was truly a gem of a person that left a positively indelible mark on people after one conversation. Pat was the backbone of the family and always performed the lion's share of the cooking on holidays. Most of all, Pat was our own personal advisor and guidance counselor, she guided is all with brutal honesty and compassion to ensure we made the correct decision. Pat will be sorely missed by many. Pat is preceded in death by her father; husband of 37 years, Guy Simpson; son, Guy Simpson Jr. and brother, Charles Graham. She is survived by her mother; daughters, Elesha (Jerome) Ford, Angela Simpson and Jennon (Brian) Lilly; son, Patrick Simpson; grandchildren, Jerrikka Moran, Jeffrey Wooten, Jordan Wooten, Anthony Simpson, Camden Lilly, Genesis Lilly, Jurnee Lilly, Cannon Lilly and Rion Simpson; great grandchild, Mason Hurt; brothers, Willie (Cheryl) Jackson, Robert (Linda) Jackson, Demtri (Annette) Jackson, Ronell (Marleen) Jackson, Roger (Tiffany) Jackson and Kirby (Jackie) Jackson; sisters, Shelia (Ronald) Sumrall and Willie Mae (Doug) King; special friend, Bruce Burris.
