Condolences
I met your father when I worked at Tommy Bahama at Keystone at the Crossing. He was full of personality; even though he shared with me how sick he was....broke my heart. I could tell he was special and did a lot in life and touched a lot of people. I am so sorry for your loss...he made a memorable impression on me and I will always remember Fishers Phil. God Bless Phil's family and grandchildren, I am sure he is missed very much.
I am very sorry for your loss. I met Phil at Lifetime Fitness gym. The guys at the gym will definitely miss Phil. It was a pleasure to get to know him over the last few years. He really missed California. He was always nice and kind. He eventually became a client of mine and it was nice to help him with his home. He enjoyed me working on his home because he liked to help people he knew. That's just how he was. I will miss you PHIL!! Enjoy the shorelines of the California coast!
To the Family of Philip Colburn, I am deeply saddened by the loss of your Father, Grandfather and My Friend. He will be truly missed. I have known Phil for over 30 years, and he was an amazing man. He taught me in so many ways, and I know A person that departs from this earth never truly leaves, for they are still alive in our hearts and minds, and through us, they live on. Phil will live on in your Memories and the great times you had. Please accept my condolences, and just know that I am here for you, and please do not hesitate to reach out, especially during this time. Love you, Laurie Rice Dream Team- Laven Insurance
Phil was my boss for so many years but was also a friend. Even when he moved to Indiana, he continued to come visit us in California and take us to dinner on his birthday and we kept in touch. He will be sorely missed. Rest in Peace, Phil.

I will certainly miss PDC coming in to get his chocolate boost and his crooked smile. I made it my days mission to make him smile and generally he would crack. One day he bought me a beautiful bright pink hat after a particularly bad day. It was he who made my day. He certainly had a way with the ladies and was a charmer. He told me his initials were "Pretty darn cute" I told him they were "Pretty darn cantankerous". I never got to tell him, he was right. Fly high my friend.
I first met Phil in 1966 when we worked at Ohio Casualty Company in Inglewood, California. He was always smiling & headed to the gym at lunch. Years later in the 80s we reconnected working at the same insurance agency which he eventually bought & became my boss, but he was more than a boss, he was my friend. He was still smiling & working out at the gym! Our friendship continued after he retired & moved to Indiana. He came to California once a year to visit friends & he would take myself, Ria & Laurie (he called us his Dream Team) to dinner & we would reminensce & talk about the good times we had shared over the years. I will miss his smile & sense of humor, he was a very special man May he rest in peace......Lovable Linda
Dad - We have had are good times and bad times, but you will always be a part of my heart. You were a strength of light especially when it came to fighting and pushing on, as well as acceptance. May you rest with Grandma and Jack and follow the remaining family to give strength and hope. Love Karen
phil and I spent many idyllic hours together with friends steve mac willy and many others around manhattan beach calif in the 60s.we,d play basketball for hours in the hot sun-no problem fond memories of ann and Karen then talk and drink beer all evening in the rental house on the shore.i,d give half of my meager wealth to relive just one of those weekends.fond memories of ann and Karen..when one moves away as phil did ,relationships weaken but the warm feelings endure. we obviously don't know whats on the other side of life, but for phil I hope it includes sweaty basketball, rough tough football and plenty of beer. he'll be missed.
