Obituary of Jack David Kalins
Jack David Kalins was born 10-1-1927 to Paul Kalins Sr. and Lydia Horton Kalins. He was married for nearly 47 years to Edna Wilson Parker Kalins. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Paul Jr., sisters Joann Jones, and Joyce Tucker and former wife Barbara. His children with Barbara are Judith Scarton(Tony) of Albuq,NM, Janet Schaffer(Ken) of St. Louis, MO and Jack II (Marlene)of Vail, AZ. His step children are Susan Kroeplin(Rod) of Grand Prairie, TX and Chris Parker(Vicki) of Avon, IN and nephew Rick Kalins of Matteson,IL. He also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Jack was born and raised in Decatur, IL and moved to Tucson,AZ in 1955. He was active with Boy Scouts for many years. He worked for American Airlines and TWA where he retired in Avon, IN after 25 years. Jack proudly served in WWII in the US Navy aboard the Destroyer USS Phillip. Jacks remains lay at rest in the Columbarium Memorial Garden at United Methodist Church of Avon. The family asks that any donations be made to Hendricks Regional Cancer Center in Avon or United Methodist Church of Avon.
