Obituary of Willard Miller

Willard Walton Miller was born April 11, 1950 in Forrest City, Arkansas to his parents Curtis Miller and Margaret (Littles) Miller. Willard was the first-born child of his mother Margaret and he had three other siblings, Travis, Theresa and Anita. Willard is preceded in death by his brother, Travis Miller. He departed this life December 4, 2019 at 9:18 PM. Willard married Carol Ann (Cooper) Miller on October 14, 1972 and from this union they had two sons, Willard Miller Jr. and Raymond Miller. Willard accepted Christ at an early age. He was an active member of Progressive Missionary Baptist Church. He was ordained Deacon Willard Miller and was an active member in the Brotherhood and Choir until his health started spiraling downhill. Willard attended and graduated from Carver Elementary and Carver High School. He was well known, respected and loved by many. He always had a pleasing personality and never complained even through the worst and most difficult part of his illness. My sweet and gentle Will, Im going to miss that smile and laughter. He had a way of expressing himself with his eyes. He was my best friend for 47 years and now that hes gone, a big hole is left in my heart. There will never be anyone who can replace the love and friendship we shared. Willard loved his wife, children and grandchildren. He loved spending quality time with them. He was a good father and husband. Willard also enjoyed fishing and playing his favorite card games like Bid Whisk. Willard worked at Valley Mould and Iron until they closed. He later became a Security Officer at Christ Hospital, South Suburban Hospital, and Providence Hospital. He liked working and helping people. Willard is survived by his mother, Margaret Fox; wife Carol Ann (Cooper) Miller; sons, Willard (Mina) Miller Jr and Raymond (Ursula) Miller ; six grandchildren, Rayvn (Wesley) Potter, Raya, Mia, Jada, Jeremiah and Bryson Miller; sisters, Theresa Miller and Anita Miller; nephews, Andre (Amber) Walton and Travis Hill; niece Theresa Miller, and a host of brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
