Obituary of Markus Dwyon Reed
Markus Dwyon Reed, 45, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2020 while inpatient at Community East Hospital, Indianapolis, IN.
Funeral service will be held at Resurrection of Hope, 1236 N. Rural Street, Indianapolis, IN 46201 at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 with visitation from 11:00am until service time. Pastor Iran Reed of Resurrection of Hope officiating. Serenity Funeral and Cremation Services are entrusted with funeral arrangements.
Markus Dwyon Reed known to many as "Big Juan" was born in Indianapolis, IN to Hannah Reed (Deceased) & Michael Chappel Sr. on July 27, 1974. Markus attended Arsenal Technical High School. Markus worked for V-Line as a Drywall Delivery Driver. He was also a General Labor, and was Self Employed before having to stop working due to health issues.
Markus was Vice President of the Men's Group at Resurrection of Hope called Men of Hope. Markus enjoyed helping out at church, helping people, cooking, playing cards, listening to music, spending time with family and friends, and fishing.
Markus is survived by his son, Marcus DeJuan Taylor-Reed Jr (Valerie Taylor, Mom of Marcus & Aisha), daughter, Aisha Denise Taylor, brothers: Antonio Reed, Iran D. (Yolanda) Reed, Michael Chappel, Jr., and Daniel Chappel, Nephews: Antonio Reed, Jr., DeJuan Reed, DeAnthony Reed, and Robert "Ro-Ro" Reed, Nieces: Shabria "Be-Be" Larkins, Hannah Reed, and Aunyae Reed, Aunt, Mary Crenshaw, and host of great nieces and nephews. Markus is preceded in death by his Mother, Hannah Lee Reed.
