Obituary of Paul Layton
Paul C. Layton, 90, Indianapolis, passed away December 10, 2010. He was born July 13, 1920. Paul served in the U.S. Army during W.W. II. He retired in 1982 from the former Indiana Bell after 37 years. Paul was a member of Lynhurst Baptist Church, American Legion Post 64, and the Pioneers of America. He loved his family, fishing, and baseball. He coached little league for years. Paul was a giving person. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Evelyn (Shaffer) Layton; son, Alan (Alice) Layton; daughters, Linda (Ron) Pfost and Cora (Jim) Johnson; one brother, Albert "Dutch" Layton; 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Tues. December 14 from 4-8pm at Stevens Mortuary and Family Center, 5520 W. 10th St. . Indpls. The funeral service will be held Wed. December 15 at 11am at the mortuary.
