Obituary of Rakim I. Mockabee

Mr. Rakim (Bubby) Ismail Mockabee was born in Marion, Indiana on July 24th, 1992 to Lynette Davis and Juan Mockabee. Rakim attended Crestview Elementary School after moving to Indianapolis in 1998. Rakim graduated from Lawrence North High School in 2011. Rakim's passion was football which he played at the University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Rakim also attended Atlanta Sports Academy in Atlanta, Georgia, but finished playing football for Indianapolis Crusaders Indy semi-pro (#52).
Rakim was the funniest person you could ever meet, and the loudest in the room and loved making people laugh. Rakim's happiest moment was when his son Kameron was born. Rakim loved being a dad and wouldn't change if for the world. Rakim loved having fun and cleaned up very well. When Rakim did hangout, you would catch his best friend Marlon with him. Marlon was more like a brother then a friend to Rakim. Rakim wouldn't mind helping others and even loved to baby sit his niece's kids. Rakim genuinely loved his family and friends.
On Thursday December 31st, 2020, at the age of 28, Rakim gained his wings and was called home to the holy spirit.
Rakim Ismail Mockbee leaves to cherish his memory, his parents Lynette (Gregory) Davis (Indianapolis, Indiana) and Juan Mockabee (Cleveland, Oh), his son Kameron Mockabee (Anderson, In), Grandmother Anita Mockabee (Cleveland, Oh), Sisters: Jennifer (Deon) Logan and Janelle (Demetrius) McMahon (Indianapolis, In) Step Sisters: Qiana Davis/Heckard (Shereve, La), Kendra Clay (Clarksville, Tn) Aunts: Linda Faulkner (Indianapolis, Indiana) and Danita Mockabee (Cleveland, Oh) , Uncles: David (Daneen) Mockabee and Shawn Mockabee (Cleveland, Oh) Nieces: Heidi, Hillary, Hope, Asia, Hope, Haleigh (Indianapolis, In) Step Nieces: Elise and Zaniyah (Shreveport, La) Sydney Clay (Indianapolis, Indiana) Nephews: Anthony, Sin'Cere, Hayden (Indianapolis, In) step Nephews Jalen and Kobe Clay (Anderson, In) Great nieces: Brazeal, Honestie, Gynesis (Indianapolis, In) Great Nephew: Kaiden, Dru'Shawn (Indianapolis, In) and a host of cousins, family and friends.
