Johnny Dickens, 54, of Indianapolis passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021. He was born in Portland, TN to Ina Viola "Bonnie" Duffer Sheffield and William Thomas Dickens on March 14, 1966. Johnny worked as a heavy equipment operator for 26 years for Local Union 103 until retiring in 2010. He enjoyed going on cruises, fishing, gardening and riding his Harley Davidson. He liked watching western movies. He also liked to collect coins, Harley Davidson shirts, foreign money and Harley trading tokens. Johnny really enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. Johnny is preceded in death by his parents; and brother Andrew "Buddy" Sheffield. He is survived by his wife of three years, Deborah L. Dickens; daughters, Haley (J.R.) Dickens, Brittney (Breon) Onate and Jessica (Don Fultz) Fultz; step-sons, Justin Ward and Jacob Genaro; sisters, Michelle Wix, Rhonda Martinez and Angie Brown; brother, Glen (Penny) Dickens; eight grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Johnny was loved by so many and will be missed by all.
