Obituary of Laura Dickens

Laura Jean Dickens, 58, of Indianapolis passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2022. She was born in Danville, IN to Keith Eben and Phyllis JoAnn Lathrop on March 10, 1963. She worked as a server for Snake Bite Salon, Chi-Chi's, and Red Lobster for 16 years. She was currently working as a server for Texas Roadhouse in Avon, where she had been employed for 6 years. She was the owner of a small business, "The Nut House", she would make candy coated roasted nuts and set up booths at local festivals to sell them. Laura loved swimming and fishing. Her favorite place to visit was Dale Hollow Lake. She heavily supported her grandchildren's extracurricular activities. Laura was preceded in death by her mother, Phyllis Lathrop; father, Keith Lathrop; ex-husband, Johnny Dickens and her niece, Jessica. She is survived by her daughters, Brittney (Breon Adams) Onate and Haley (Daniel Cloyd) Dickens and Lacey Bair; grandchildren, Tieriana Onate, Contessa Onate, Dominica Adams, Breona Adams, Quinton Onate, Sylas Raupp and Andrea Cloyd; brothers, Tim Lathrop, Chris Lathrop and John Lathrop; sister, Vitoria Hamilton; nieces, Jenna Zehier, Jaimee McCoy, Carah, Sarah, Megan, Addy and Vanessa Sheffield; nephew, Kevin; great niece and nephew, Majesty and Kevin; and her ex-husband, Steve Onate.
