Obituary of Kenneth Brown
Kenneth "KB" "Big" Brown was born July 16, 1935. He passed peacefully in his sleep on December 31, 2022. He was born to George Louis Brown and Katie Virginia Buck Brown in McMinnville, Tennessee. Kenneth had one sister, Helen P. Brown McNeil, with whom he remained close until her untimely death in August 2000.
Kenneth graduated from Crispus Attucks High School in the year 1954 and kept in touch with his classmates over the years, attending reunions and other celebrations.
From a relationship as a young man, Kenneth had his first child, Stacey L. Cox. Then in 1960, Kenneth married Patricia M. Riley. Of this union, three children were born: Christine "Christy" M. Brown Charis; Dennis "Denny" M. Brown, and Eric "Ricky" L. Brown. He also had a stepson, Bernard S. Finks.
In 1965, Kenneth moved to Los Angeles where he met the love of his life, Marvelle P. Henderson. He, and, Marvelle was married in 1970 and remained so until her sudden death in November 1996.
Kenneth began his working career in the automotive industry and he eventually retired from the aeronautical production industry working for McDonnell Douglas Aircraft Company.
Kenneth had ten grandchildren; Nicole Howard, Cristina Rashiduddin (Chano), Amber Cox, Katherine Brown, Reno Brown, Sequoyah Brown, Ixchel Brown, Kenya Brown, Erin Brown and Kosey Brown. He also had two great-grandchildren. He had one nephew, Gary T. McNeil (Anna) and host of many cousins.
With the exception of the time that he lived in California, Kenneth had been a lifelong member of University United Methodist Church, formerly Simpson Methodist Church.
