Sercer Family, I am so sorry for your loss. I still think about your dad often. He always made me smile. I had such a soft spot in my heart for him. I am so proud to have known your dad and your family. I lost my dad this year too, Sept.25th. My dad played music, maybe they are playing together now. Peace be with you all. Love, Stacy

I met John one time. He was a Christian man, who loved his life. I heard many wonderful stories about John and his special friend, Violet, that made me laugh. I never had the chance to hear John and Violet play and sing together.. Oh, how I wish I did. He was a great man that will be missed by many.

I worked for Mr. Sercer for a short time. I was also his neighbor and a fellow parishioner of St. Christopher when I was living in Speedway. I can hardly put into words what a kind man Mr. Sercer was and how sad I am for his family's loss. I doubt I will ever meet anyone else quite like him. I miss you, friend!

My family has been neighbors with the Sercer family for all of my life - both famlies moved to the same new neighborhood. We shared Slovenian traditions and polkas with them, played with Londie and Johnny, shared weddings and funerals. Mr. Sercer was always willing to help whenever needed. We will miss him. May God hold him in the palm of his hand.

I was very saddened to hear about Mr. Sercer's death. I had no idea he was 96. He looked very youthful the last time I saw him at Dad's funeral. Mr. Sercer was such a good man and a wonderful neighbor to our family for so many years. He will be missed.
