Obituary
Obituary of Pamela Elise Morton
Pamela Elise Morton was born to the late Charles and Celestine Wells on November 2, 1963, in Los Angeles, California. As a young child her family moved to Indianapolis, Indiana. She received her education in the Indianapolis Public School System and obtained her General Education Degree (GED), Medical Assistant Certification, and Commercial Driver's License.
Pamela has served in many capacities during her working years. She was a Cosmetologist, Medical Assistant, and a Semi-Truck Driver. Driving a semi-truck was her favorite career choice spanning over 15 years. She enjoyed seeing America, Canada, and Mexico; and meeting various people around the world.
On August 28, 1984, Pamela E. Wells was united in holy matrimony with Anthony W. Morton and their love lasted over 35 years. With the joining of this union a son, Anthony W. Morton Jr. was born, and Anthony Sr. gained two children, Michelle and Mylanna and would raise them as his own.
Pamela was a surly, strong-willed, bossy, and loving person. She had her own way of showing love by assisting anyone when they needed help. Her favorite activities included singing/dancing, bowling, reading, writing, and telling people what to do.
She always had a comment, word of advice, or a plan to help others get ahead; one of her favorite sayings was "You Follow Me?".
On July 5 around 3am, Pamela was called home from labor to rest, ending her battle with stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer, giving her time to become closer with God, herself, family and loved ones.
Pamela Elise Morton leaves her cherished memories to her loving husband Anthony W. Morton Sr., two daughters Michelle (Ahmad) Perry; Mylanna Warren, and her son Anthony W. Morton Jr. sisters: Bridgett Taylor, Stephanie Wells, & Terri Wells; one brother Charles A. Wells Jr., 7 grandchildren: Jasmine, Kamora, Montana, Yajaira, Zaria, and the twins Aniyah & Anthony; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Her parents, grand-parents, and sister Angelia Wells-Cici all preceded her in death.
