Obituary of Leoncio Nitural

Leoncio "Leo" Nitural was a caring father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He departed this life on Saturday, October 7, 2023. Leo was born in Boac, Marinduque, Philippines to Fransisco and Petra Nitural on September 12, 1934. He completed his master's in theology at the Divine Word Seminary in the Philippines. He served 12 years as Chaplain in the Armed Forces of the Philippine Navy. While serving in the military he studied in Rome. He migrated to the United States in 1983. He continued his chaplaincy not in the military, but for the Federal Correctional Institution from 1984 and retired in 1996. Later, he resumed his chaplaincy and retired again in 2015 from Corrections Corporation of America at the age of 80. Leo always had a lot of Jokes and stories to tell, and his life has always been fun and happy. He was also a magician and performed magic tricks at family gatherings. Leo loved helping and working. He would talk to anyone about anything. He is best known for his laugh and making other people laugh. Leo is survived by his wife, Pat; his daughter Marian; sons-in law Jof Enerva and Christian Ragan; grandchildren Faye, Elliot, Dia, Jayden, and Justice. Leo was preceded in death by daughter, Diana. Leo will forever be remembered by all his family and friends.
