There are some people that come into your life, no matter how briefly, that you will never forget. Tamara was one of those people. I was her overnight companion/caregiver from 7p till 9a. We talked about everything, and yes, fussed sometimes too. If you really knew Tamara, that was to be expected. We would go a long walks through her neighborhood and then get back to the house and do a full exercise routine. I was trying to get her to wind down for the evening, but the experience actually lead me to a healthier lifestyle. Some evenings we would play music, dance and sing. One of her song requests was Unforgettable by Nat King Cole. Once she found out I loved to read, she would ask me to read to her some evenings since her eyesight was failing. She would pick certain books about places she had been and she had already read so she could enlighten me on the more intricate details. Circumstances changed for Tamara and I moved on, but occasionally I would meet her, Felicia and Freda for lunch at her favorite place, MCL. Because of her eyesight, I would sing “Unforgettable “ so she would know it was me.
Gone, by not forgotten. Rest well my unforgettable friend.

I took care of Tamara’s lawn for a few years and my wife helped get her to some of her doctors appointments and helped her get groceries. Always loved to hear her stories, loved her ballet stories. She will be missed

Tamara was also a member/dancer for Bolshoi Ballet in the Soviet Union. She was a funny wonderful loving lady. For the last year and a half she has lived with us, we enjoyed many life events together. Oh what fun we had at times. She will remain in our hearts forever as our mama.
I’ll miss her at breakfast and reading the Moscow news to her on Saturdays and the way she would say we are going shopping but I don’t have money, and I would go get my wallet and pull out money for her so she would feel like she could shop forever…. That’s what made her happy a few dollars and Felecia taking her to shop… I’ll never have a better back seat driver…she wanted a slow drive and a driver that listened. I’ll miss my hello darling when I got home every evening, and the way she laughed watching the pups run into the room when she arrived. She could be mean at times but the good in her out weighted the rough days.
You will always be in my heart.
Love Always your Chicken..
