Obituary of William Dreflak
William “Bill” Dreflak, 85, of Indianapolis passed away on December 7, 2023. He was born in Indianapolis to Frank and Mary (Udovic) Dreflak on December 5, 1938. William proudly served our country in the United States Army from 1960 until 1962 where he served as a medic. He had investment shares in Rico’s Supper Club on Indy’s northside in 1983 and then Lube on the Move (a mobile oil changing service). William was the owner of Frank’s Liquor, where he retired in 2013. Prior to that, he was a liquor salesman for many years at National Liquor. He was a Godfather at St. Mary’s Child Center, and helped raise money at their largest annual money making events “The Miracle Ball”. He enjoyed sailing in his younger years, and later enjoyed being on his pontoon boat at Eagle Creek Reservoir which was his happy place. He, along with several fellow boaters, would link together and float, enjoying beverages and telling stories. William always loved visiting with his family/friends and reminiscing about the good old days. He truly valued those who would drop by and check in or sit and visit with him. William is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mary (Udovic) Dreflak; brother, Frank Dreflak, grandson, Zachary Miller; and his sister, Mary Borgmann. He is survived by his daughter, Nikki Dreflak-Miller; son, Mark Dreflak; grandsons, Alec G. Miller and Drake Dreflak; granddaughter, Sydney Dreflak; sister, Olga “Roni” Bayliff; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be missed by those who had the pleasure of knowing him. No services will be held as per William’s wishes. In honor of William, memorial contributions can be made to the Hendricks County Humane Society 3033 East Main Street Danville, Indiana 46122.
