Obituary of Nancy Marie Murphy

Nancy M. Murphy, 81, of Indianapolis, IN passed away on September 6, 2023, at home with her loving family by her side. Nancy was born in Indianapolis on August 22, 1942, to Samuel R. and Thelma B. (Biehl) Watson.

Nancy held several positions during her career which included teaching at Central Business College, and having worked for Wright Manufacturing, Praxair Surface Technologies, Olin Brass, First Indiana Bank and retired in 2016 from the State of Indiana.

Nancy was an avid reader, and enjoyed stamp collecting and traveling, especially to Las Vegas.    

Nancy is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 49 years, Robert J. Murphy III; children Robert J. (Jennifer) Murphy, and Jennifer (Scott) Richards; stepchildren Donna Stout, Linda (Ken) Cooper, Michael (Debra) Proffitt; grandchildren Justin Murphy, Alex Murphy, Robbie Richards, and Katie Richards.
