Obituary of Shanon Marie Gibson

Shanon M. Gibson, 53, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away September 4^th of 2023 at her home. Shanon was born on July 13, 1970 to Frank and Nona Cohernour in Danville, Indiana.

She is survived by her father, Frank Cohernour; her husband of 28 years, Warren Gibson; daughters Megan Romer (Randy) and Danielle Romer; son, Garren Gibson (Mariah); 5 grandchildren, Aiden, Ryker, Emma, Sawyer and Ripp; brothers Kyle Cohernour (Kay) and Mike Cohernour (Chris); along with 6 nephews and 4 nieces. She was preceded in death by her mother.

Friends and family are invited to gather from 4:00 pm -7:30 pm on Friday September 8, 2023 at Steven’s Mortuary, 5520 W 10^th St. Indianapolis, IN 46224 for a showing and time of remembrance that will begin at 7:30 pm.

Shanon was a woman with an infectious personality. You may have started as a stranger but soon became friends. She had many amazing qualities, including her contagious laugh, bravery, love for her family, and her ability to solve any problem. She walked through life loving veraciously and did everything passionately – a woman of detail. Shanon cherished her trips to Dalehollow where lots of things were cracked open and even more memories were made.
