Obituary of Zora Bacaloff Nathan
Zora Bacaloff Nathan, 101, of Indianapolis, IN passed away on August 27, 2023. Zora was born in Clermont, IN on June 9, 1922, to Gligor “George” and Liska (Adjieff) Bacaloff.
Zora was a graduate of George Washington High School. She was a loving and devoted daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother. She was also a beloved neighbor and friend to all. Zora enjoyed gardening, was a talented cook and a seamstress extraordinaire.
Zora was a member of St. Stephen Bulgarian Eastern Orthodox Church and the Ladies Auxiliary where she devoted and volunteered her time, talent, and love. She was also a scout den mother and troop leader.
Zora is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Harry Nick Nathan; sister, Mary Maxey; nephew, David Maxey; and sons-in-law Thomas Garing and Anthony Barga
Zora is survived by her loving and devoted family; son, Richard (Kim) Nathan; daughters Barbrara Garing and Patricia Barga; grandchildren, Katie (Jamie Grant) Nathan, Nicole (Manu Mohan) Nathan, Nathan Garing, and Evan (Kayla) Garing; nephew, Donald Maxey; and niece, Lisa Maxey.
The family would like to extend many thanks to the loving staff and caregivers at Clearvista Lake Health Campus and Heart to Heart Hospice.
