Obituary of Lorraine W. Keglovits

Lorraine W. Keglovits, 94, of Indianapolis, IN passed away on May 16, 2023. Lorraine was born in Chicago, IL on July 30, 1928, to Edward and Caroline (Thomas) Bergmann.

Lorraine was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and lifelong friend. She enjoyed spending quality time with her children, grandchildren, and the entire family, especially during the holidays. Lorraine loved to cook, bake, and entertain. Her many interests would include home decorating, Polka dancing, horses, and dogs. 

Lorraine’s working career was spent with Illinois Bell Telephone and Indiana Bell Telephone as a long-distance operator; a switchboard and front desk receptionist for the Speedway Motel, BDP, Carrier and United Technologies. 

Lorraine attended St. Christopher Church where she was a choir member, Eucharistic Minister and served in the funeral ministry. 

Lorraine is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 58 years Louis Keglovits, and son David. She is survived by her brother Thomas Bergmann of Harvard, IL; children Valerie Eaglin, Mark (Pat) Keglovits, and Marisa (Kevin) Potter all of Indianapolis, IN; ten grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law Joe and Dolores Keglovits of PA; sisters-in-law Stella Nemeth and Agnes Kozero; numerous nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at St. Christopher Catholic Church 5301 W. 16th Street Indianapolis, IN 46222, with visitation from 9:00 AM until time of Mass. Entombment to follow in Calvary Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks that memorial contributions may be made, in honor and memory of Lorraine, to either Life’s Journey Hospice 10241 E County Rd 100 N, Indianapolis, IN 46234, American Cancer Society 5635 W 96th St Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46278 or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
