Obituary of Betty Moomaw
Betty R. (Small) Moomaw, 77, of Indianapolis passed away on March 23, 2023. She was born in Indianapolis to Raymond R. and Fay Small on June 4, 1945. Betty had a successful career with AUL- American United Life and One America. After giving over 30 years of service she retired.
Her love for her family was endless. She loved being a mother and grandmother, she would do anything for them.
When Betty was not spending time with her family, she would spend her time enjoying birds. She loved watching birds, as well as feeding and photographing them.
Some of Betty’s other loves included shopping, playing cards and various games. She enjoyed going to the casino, crocheting and knitting. She made blankets for everyone, including the babies in the NICU. She made hats and scarves for cancer patients. She also loved reading.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Larry E. Moomaw; and brother, Robert R. Small. She is survived by her son, Harry R. (Brandi R.) Short; and granddaughters, Courtney A. Short, Jessie R. Short and Abigail R. Short.
