Obituary of Ronald Forrest Williams
Ronald (Ron) F. Williams, age 62, was called home March 18, 2023. He passed away surrounded by his loving family after a lifelong battle with diabetes. He was born to Forrest H. Williams and Lillian Elizabeth (Scalf) Williams on May 15, 1960, and lived most of his life in the Indianapolis area.
He graduated from Tech High School in 1980 and later earned a certificate in accounting from Clark College. He worked as a bookkeeper his entire life until he retired in 2021 due to health reasons.
He met the love of his life Teresa (Terri) A. (Russell) Williams on a blind date in 1982. They were married April 11. 1987 and would have celebrated 36 years together this year.
Ron was very family oriented. He loved being a dad to Joe and Miranda and enjoyed attending their sporting and choir events. He also enjoyed family vacations, holiday celebrations and other family activities.
He especially loved being a “Poppy” to his 4 grandchildren Kaedence, Kinsley, Ashton, and Aliyah. They were the light of his life.
As everyone knows Ron was a huge Colts fan. He also enjoyed gardening, Southern Gospel music and playing games with family and friends.
He demonstrated great courage throughout his life as he overcame many obstacles in his fight against diabetes. He drew strength from his faith in God and was a longtime member of Castleton UMC.
He is survived by his wife Teresa (Russell) Williams, his five brothers Robert, Mark, Tom, Daniel and William, his children Joe and Miranda, and his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Janice Kay Gilbert.
