Obituary of Eileen Frances Earl

Eileen Frances (Styck) Earl, 86, of Indianapolis passed away on November 18, 2022. Eileen was born on February 6, 1936, during The Great Depression. Her family did not have much, yet she remembered having a great childhood. If she was hungry, she’d just “Go pick dandelion greens and fry them up.” That continued to be her outlook for her entire life. She was the best mother, Loving, attentive, caring and making sure her kids knew and loved Jesus. Taking us to church every Sunday., she made sure we were dressed to the hilt. Sewing was a passion of hers, and many of our clothes were handmade. She continued sewing for family and friends around her, until her last days. Her favorite part of life was her grandkids and great grandkids. For birthdays and Christmases, she would hand them a five-dollar bill along with a sandwich bag of candy. It wasn’t much, but it meant the world to them. She never had much, but she made sure to always do a little something to make you feel special. She lived a full life, enjoying her butter pecan ice cream, watching Jimmy Swaggert, doing puzzles, spending time with family and shopping at Goodwill with her favorite daughter. The one thing she held most dear was her faith. She never strayed from it and told everyone about Jesus. She would read Bible stories to the grandkids and sing songs, all the while teaching them to love God. She will be missed dearly, but it is comforting to know she is with her Savior, and reunited with her son, two grandsons, mother and father. Eileen was preceded in death by her parents, Franklin Styck and Elma Pauline Towne; son, Anthony W. Earl; one grandchild; and brothers, Donald and Franklin Styck. She is survived by her son, Stephen (Rebecca) Earl of New Ross; Daughter, Michelle (Christopher) Cleek of New Ross; nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; and sisters, Beverly Stewart of Indianapolis and Madelyn Martin of Elkhart.
