Condolences
Nan, Sorry to be delayed in signing. I knew Joe via his knowledgeable & gracious presentations to our undergraduate nursing students at IU/Indy - it was always a joy to have him interacting with students & faculty. I know you via Parkview-Methodist School of Nursing - I'm a grad of class 68. My thoughts & prayers go with you & your family at this time. Carol
Nan and family, our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Dear Nan, Chris and Tom, Mother (Bernice Boone) and I just wanted you to know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. We both remember many hours spent with Joe and the rest of you boys when she was your babysitter. I especially remember Joe as being the one who could always make me laugh! I know he will be missed here on earth but I'm sure God will enjoy his company.
My deepest sympathy goes out to you and your family. I knew Joe at IU hospital for many years. He was a great person and I enjoyed just talking to him. I really liked how he "said those SOB's" did this or that and had you rolling on the floor. Sorry I had to say that to me that was the charm of being around Joe. He could take any problem, turn it around, and have you cracking up about it by the time you were done talking. I missed not talking to him when I moved away and I'm deeply sadden about his passing.
First, my condolences to Nan and the family. I had the pleasure of knowing Joe from work at IU/Clarian. He was quick with a word and funny. A REAL nice guy.
Just a word to say how sorry we are about Joe's passing. We were all in high school in Linton, together, I was in Chris's class. I remember all the Bailey boys being very talented and fun to know. Elinor (Hixon) in Brownsburg just let me know today. My mother Stella Struckmeyer worked for Dr. Ed Bailey for many years in Linton and thought the world of him. I hope your rainbow of precious memories will brighten with every tear. May God also bless you at this time. Sue (Struckmeyer) Myers
Nan, I am so sorry and saddened to hear of Joe's passing. My brother, Jim Copp, and he ran around in high school in Linton and was in Vietnam during the same time, although, not together. I worked at I.U. and Riley for almost 40 years until retiring 3 years ago. Joe and I would run into each other on occasion. He always talked of you and your family. Even to this day, when I tell someone that I am from Linton, they ask if I knew the Baily boys. He was such a nice person and always a professional. My prayers are with your family.
With deepest sympathy.Thinking of you,at this difficult time. Elsie
Nan- Our deepest sympathy goes out to you and your family. We are thinking of you and hoping you find peace knowing Joe is no longer suffering. Please don't hesitate to call if we can do anything to help you. I am happy to drop off food next weekend for the family if that would be helpful. Peace- Heather, Les, Chloe and Delaney Walker
