Obituary of Joseph J. Rosner
Joseph James Rosner, 96, of Indianapolis, IN passed away on January 13, 2022. He was born In Indianapolis on November 14, 1925 to August and Geneva (Cash) Rosner. Joe was a staple at St. Joseph Catholic Church, teaching children how to become alter servers to being on the church board. He belonged to the Men’s Club and Harvest House. Joe knew no stranger, often helping with the women of Seeds of Hope. Joe was devoted to St. Joseph Catholic Church he looked after the church and the congregation with love and compassion. Joe served the Lord by always helping others, he made everyone feel welcome and loved. Joe was a carpenter by trade, not only by working to provide for his family, but building the house he lived in all his life. He was known for building Rockers that several families received free of charge, passing that trade down to his son John. His knowledge of building homes he taught to all three of his sons, working them from dawn to way past dusk. Joe married his high school sweetheart Fern, and was married for 57 years until her passing in 2008. Joe was a kind, caring and helpful individual that lived and practiced his faith. Joe was loved by so many and will be missed by all. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Mildred Fern Starks Rosner; and daughter Geneva Hendrickson. Joe is survived by his daughters Sharon Lakey and Therese Smith; sons, Jerry Rosner, Joe Rosner and John Rosner, all of Indianapolis, IN.
