I just got back in town and learned of Judy's passing. While I was at St. Michael we worked together on several committees and projects. During the time I was principal she was a strong supporter and good friend. I will miss her and her laugh. My thoughts and prayers are with Bob and Marybeth and their families. God Bless. I met Judy when she came to St. Philip Neri to work -- we have been friends ever since. Have many good memories of times together at SPN -- on Tyrone and at my home as well as a trip to Virginia Beach. Mary Kendall
I was sorry to read of Judy's passing. I worked with Judy for over 15 years but our frienship and respect for each other, lasted much much longer. She was smart, warm, generous, caring, hard working, a real professional, and so dedicated. These were only some of her personal and professional attributes.
About mid-week I said to my wife "I wondered how Judy Yaggi is doing; she said I thought of Judy yesterday and thought the same thing. This had to near the time she passed.
For years, I would tell a funny story about Judy and myself.
I was in Akron, OH as a consultant. They had lost their president (in-house superintendent). The committee wanted to know if I would be interested. The director of development said why would you hire McGinley - instead hire Judy Yaggi she ran Cathedral HS when McGinley was president. :)
Judy was loyal, trustworthy, a real friend, and a loving aunt.
May God welcome her home. May her soul rest in peace.
Michael McGinley
Former President of Cathedral High School
I worked with Judy for 7 years at St. Philip Neri. I have so many good memories of our time together. In my 7 years, we had three priest changes, 3 or 4 principal changes at the school and 2 different pastoral associates. We were experts in change. She was an excellent parish secretary and the best cook. I had many good meals because of her. I loved the picture posted as that is how I remember her-smiling and thinking to herself—oh my, how are we going to get through this one.
Thanks Judy for your friendship.
The smile in that picture sums up my memories of encounters with her. She was always pleasant and cheerful, regardless of the circumstance. She toughed it out through many illnesses and never complained. Many a Marion student have probably passed by her house on the way to class! What a pleasure it was to know her!
