Theodore W. Smith, 66, affectionately known as “Teddy”, of Indianapolis, IN passed away on October 18, 2021. Teddy was born in Indianapolis, IN on August 19, 1955 to Estle and Dovie Lee Smith. Teddy loved people, especially babies. He loved dressing up as Santa Clause every Christmas for his nieces and nephews. His house and yard always had the most decorations on the block. He would also never let you forget his birthday, because he always had his birthday money spent before he got it. Teddy worked for C & N & Smith’s Grocery Stores, he also did yard work and was a great handy man. “Eating” was one of his favorite hobbies! French fries and ketchup and strawberry waffles were on top of his list. Teddy surprised everyone by doing such a wonderful job living on his own after his mom passed away. He sure missed Granny Dovie and his Bubbies. Our family imagines they all welcomed him with loving arms along-side Jesus. He maybe up there playing Bongos now. We love you and miss you, Teddy. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Interment to follow in Floral Park Cemetery. Teddy is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers Marvin Smith and Cecil Smith. He is survived by many family and friends.
