Christine Nemesia “Mom” Porter, 81, of Indianapolis passed away on Saturday, August 21, 2021. She was born in San Luis Potosi Mexico on July 23, 1940 to Nemesia Venegas Rodriguez. She retired from being a manager of Dairy Queen. Mom was a prayerful, compassionate and kind person. Everyone who met her loved her. She adopted everyone she met. She called them her children. Mom loved her family unconditionally. She enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be missed dearly. She was preceded in death by her mother, two brothers and a sister. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Charles L. Porter; daughters, Margaret (Lou) Urbancic of Brownsburg and Penny (Brett) Kays of Flat Rock, MI; sons, Carlos (Dawn) Porter; grandsons, Louis (Amanda) Urbancic Jr. of Indianapolis, Zachary (Danielle) Urbancic of Indianapolis. Stephen (Kelly) Kays of Farmington, MI and Thomas (Danielle Eschedor) Kays of Flat Rock, MI and Charlie Porter; granddaughters, Jessica and Rachel; great granddaughter, Lilly Urbancic of Indianapolis; great grandson, Jax Urbancic of Indianapolis; and sister, Alicia Avila Hernandez of Corpus Christi, Texas.
