I loved you Bill!! (Shirley too) About 45 years ago I went to an AWANA meeting. we played indoor hockey and I learned more about Jesus that I thought possible and had fun doing it!! I won a 10 commandment bracelet for picking the name for our newsletter.. The AWANA Lamplighter. A lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. Shirley, Bill, and Angie, I was very sorry to hear of Bill's passing. Your family was such a big part of my life growing up and both Bill and Shirley had a huge impact on my Christian Walk. I have so many wonderful memories of family camping trips, awana, awana camp and just spending time at your house. Bill was a very special person and I am thankful for the influence that he had on my life. I am also thankful for the friendship that my parents had with Bill and Shirley-it was truly a special friendship. I will be praying for your family in the coming days and months as you grieve the loss of Bill. Love, Trish Marlow
Shirley, Edith and I are so saddened for the loss of your Bill. As his cousin,on the Farr side, I always looked up to him in school. Edith and I were looking at the "Crescents" today and remembering you both. It was all good memories, too. I know that together you accomplished so much serving the Lord and his children. And I know the Lord is pleased with how you spent the time he gave you together. May He bless you and your family forever. Please give our personal regards to Jim and Jack. Shirley, Bk and Angela and all the grandchildren. My heart and prayers are with you all at this time. I wanted so much to be there for you but we need to wait the 2 weeks to leave as planned. I loved Bill so much and felt like he and Shirley were surrogate parents to me when I was young. They are the best that you could ever want in parents or siblings. I will miss him so much. Love Aunt Sharon
