Martha Yolanda "YO" Floreancig, 87, of Indianapolis, IN passed away on January 23, 2021. She was born in Pulaski, TN on August 18, 1933 to Ena Marie and Thomas Edward Abernathy, both preceding her in death. Martha was a registered nurse at Riley Children’s Hospital where she worked in various nursing positions in the surgery unit for over 30 years. She loved the arts and frequently attended concerts, plays and art exhibits. Martha loved to sing with her group at Mid-North Shepherd Center. She was a member of the North United Methodist Church. Martha enjoyed bird watching and long walks. Most of all, Martha loved spending quality time with her grandchildren. In 2005, Martha was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Adrian “Tony” Floreancig. She is survived by her sons, John Floreancig of Avon, IN and Paul (Debbie) Floreancig of Pittsburgh, PA; grandchildren Joseph Floreancig and Jack Floreancig, both of Avon, IN; Taylore (Christopher) Floreancig of Indianapolis, IN and Natalie Floreancig of Pittsburgh, PA; numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Traditions at Reagan Park Senior Community for their care and compassion shown towards our Mother. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor and memory of Martha can be made to the Mid-North Shepherd Center at North United Methodist Church 3808 N. Meridian Street Indianapolis, IN 46208. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 29, 2021 from 4:00PM until 8:00PM at Stevens Mortuary 5520 W. 10th Street Indianapolis, IN 46224. A Private Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2020. Interment to follow in Calvary Cemetery in Indianapolis, IN .
