Sandra was born in Indianapolis on January 28, 1950 to Alfred and Mary Schenk, both preceded her in death. Sandra worked as a registered nurse at Methodist Hospital from 1970 until 1983 and then a rehabilitation nurse at Liberty Mutual from 1989 until 1992. She was active in church throughout her whole life attending Lynhurst Baptist in Indianapolis, Plainview Baptist in Crawfordsville, Lakeview Church in Indianapolis, and New Hope Baptist in Indianapolis. Sandra enjoyed working on craft projects and writing poems. Sandra was loved by many and will be missed by all. She is preceded in death by her parents, and son, Andy Burkhart. She is Survived by her daughter Angye (Dwayne) Burkhart Brooks; brother Al (Linda) Schenk; sisters Linda (Phil) Butler, Cathy (Randy) Arsnoe and Sherry (Jeff) Adams; 16 nieces and nephews.
