Obituary of Raymond Grannan

Raymond E. Grannan, 80, of Brownsburg, passed away at home on December 17th surrounded by his family. Ray was born in Indianapolis to Victor and Augusta (Rhiney) Grannan on October 5, 1940. He was a graduate of Cathedral High School in 1958. He married Tina Janay Parker on February 4th of 1961 in Indianapolis. Ray worked as a Sales Representative for Tools and Supply Inc, and an accountant at Phelps Heating and Air and at Federated Supply. He was a charter member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church and was involved in Parish Council, he served as a Eucharistic Minister and many other tasks for the parish. Ray enjoyed playing cards weekly at Brownsburg Older Adult Alliance. Ray loved to travel and Casinos. Ray is preceded in death by his brothers Paul, Elbert, Charles, Anthony and sister Catherine McCleary. Ray is survived by his wife Tina, his son Kevin (Candi) Grannan, his daughters Kimberly (Scott) Rance and Kerrie (Andrew) Hecker. Brother James (Jeannette) Grannan. Grandchildren Alexander (Jodi) Grannan, Albuquerque, NM ; Shawn Rance, Brownsburg, IN; Corey Rance,Speedway, IN; Aaron Rance Indianapolis, IN; Jacob (Lindsay) Rance, Brownsburg, IN; Adam, Luke and Noah Hecker, Edina MN. Greatgrandchildren, Nathanial, Elijah and Cain Grannan in Rio Rancho, NM; Jackson and Amelia Rance in Brownsburg. Funeral services will be held from 4-8pm Tuesday, December 22nd at Steven’s Mortuary 5520 W. 10th Street Indianapolis, IN. A Catholic Funeral Mass will be at 11am on December 23rd at St. Gabriel Catholic Church 6000 W. 34th Street, Indianapolis. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
